In our “AtremoPlus Portraits” series, where we share inspiring stories of people who use our supplement, we’re giving the floor today to someone who approaches life with both courage and resilience.
Lorenz, a 67-year-old master carpenter, has dedicated his life to his work. After over 45 years in a demanding yet honorable profession, he was on the verge of enjoying his well-earned retirement.
But then came Parkinson’s disease — and turned his plans upside down. “I had imagined things very differently…” he says.

Lorenz, 67 years old – A life of hard work, and then a Parkinson’s diagnosis
Since his youth, Lorenz worked high above the ground on rooftops, always balancing technical precision with structural responsibility.
“It wasn’t just about working with wood — it was always about making sure the roof could withstand storms and heavy snow,” he explains.
With his own company, he built around 650 roof frames — always with attention to detail, as the following two photos clearly show.

Then came the day when a completely ordinary activity — trimming a hedge — changed everything.
“My left hand started trembling. It was strange, I didn’t understand it,” Lorenz recounts.
After a series of tests, the diagnosis came: Parkinson’s.
He decided to carry that burden alone. “I kept it to myself. It’s not in my nature to talk about worries — let alone join a support group. But the burden is real — physically, emotionally… You can feel how the disease weakens the body,” he says.
Help from nature
Two years later, his general practitioner recommended a natural, well-tolerated, and clinically tested supplement: AtremoPlus. “My doctor’s advice immediately resonated with me. I was truly excited, because I’ve always had an aversion to synthetic drugs. I’ve long been drawn to natural solutions,” says Lorenz.
That’s how he discovered AtremoPlus — a plant-based L-Dopa/Carbidopa derived from fava beans (Vicia faba), standardized for safe and precise dosing. In June 2024, he started taking this plant-based L-Dopa as a supplement alongside his regular Parkinson’s therapy, hoping for a better quality of life.
“I cautiously started with 10 grams per day, split into two doses. Always mixed into applesauce — that works best for me,” he explains.
The effects didn’t appear immediately, but early signs of improvement came quickly. “For me, it took about two weeks. But after that, I felt noticeably better, and the effects continued to build,” he reports.
Regaining control over his body
Another unexpected improvement: “I couldn’t sit for long — I had to get up constantly. Now I can sit much longer again.”
His walking has become smoother, and the so-called freezing episodes — as they’re called in the Parkinson’s community — have become less frequent: “I don’t get stuck as often while walking. That’s a relief. When your body suddenly stops responding, it’s not just inconvenient, it’s stressful.”
His fine motor skills have improved too: “I can button my shirt again without any trouble. It might sound trivial — but for me, it’s a big step toward independence.”
He adds with conviction: “Regaining fine motor control means having more independence in daily life. And that independence often hinges on small, everyday gestures — things you only notice when they’re gone.”
“What’s also remarkable,” adds Lorenz, “is that it supports the medication schedule, so their effects last longer.”
Relief from pain… and more
Among the most common — yet little-discussed — symptoms of Parkinson’s are chronic pains. And decades of carpentry have left their mark.
“I had chronic back pain. And it’s gotten better with AtremoPlus,” he says with relief.
For many, this reduction in pain could trigger a positive cycle: less pain leads to better sleep, improved physical recovery, and better daytime quality of life. Lorenz says: “I no longer have the intense sleep attacks — those were particularly burdensome.”
This improvement in pain, confirmed by many AtremoPlus users, is likely due to the Vicia faba plant’s active compounds, whose antioxidant properties are well documented. By countering oxidative stress and chronic inflammation, it may help relieve long-term pain — often a result of such inflammatory processes. When the inflammation subsides, the pain often follows.
Effects beyond the physical
The positive effects show up cognitively and emotionally as well. “My memory is clearer, my mood more stable. I feel less tired. You become more positive again — and laugh more often!” Lorenz says, smiling. “That’s a good sign.”
Even his face, once rigid, now shows more expression: “That’s not only important for us — but for our loved ones too. When your face shows no emotion, people think you’re in a bad mood — even when you’re not.”
It’s important to understand that the face is made up of many small muscles. When Parkinson’s causes stiffness in the legs, arms, or torso, it often affects facial muscles as well. This phenomenon, often called a “masked face,” is not well known — but very real — and can complicate social interactions, both for the affected person and those around them.
Visible improvement — even from the outside
Progress becomes part of your routine so quickly that you sometimes forget how far you’ve come.
Often it’s others — especially those who don’t see you every day — who notice the changes first. “My doctor mentioned it right away. He said I looked fitter… and he’s right.”
And Lorenz himself feels it clearly: “If I skip AtremoPlus for a few days, I notice right away that something’s missing,” he says with a smile.
A simple and effective routine
Lorenz has found a routine that works best for him: 10 grams daily, taken at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., always with a gap before meals.
“The most important thing is to stay active. Keep moving, eat well, do some exercise,” he advises pragmatically.
Many users report that AtremoPlus makes everyday life easier and provides more energy and vitality. To anyone still hesitating, Lorenz offers a clear and encouraging message: “This product deserves a chance.”
At AtremoPlus, we’re thrilled about the progress Lorenz has experienced — especially since it all started with a recommendation from his general practitioner.
It’s interesting to observe that, despite some skepticism in the medical field, more and more healthcare professionals — general practitioners, neurologists, and naturopaths — are recommending AtremoPlus today.
In most cases, AtremoPlus is used by neurologists as a supplement to standard Parkinson’s medications, with the doses adjusted gradually. They often report a possible reduction of synthetic drugs by 25 to 50%, while maintaining stable clinical results.
Not only are rapid improvements often seen, but also long-term stability — in some AtremoPlus users, for more than nine years — without significant increases in dosage, which is remarkable for a progressive disease like Parkinson’s.
We sincerely thank Lorenz for his inspiring story and wish you meaningful progress on your own journey.
