Ana, a Warrior Against Parkinson’s Disease

At 72 years old, Ana Sauvee could tell you she’s seen it all, lived through it all. Behind her words of wisdom lies a story marked by resilience, determination, and an inner strength that commands respect. “I grew up in fear, with yelling, insults, beatings, and deprivation,” she recalls, speaking of a difficult childhood after being abandoned at eight months old along with her two sisters. Despite these challenging beginnings, Ana never let circumstances dictate her life.

Married at a very young age, Ana became a mother at 18, raising three daughters who are now her greatest pride. “My marriage didn’t last because my husband was an alcoholic. I didn’t want that life for my children,” she recounts with a clarity that speaks volumes about her determination to always protect her loved ones. Her second marriage was a blessing. Her husband, who accepted her three daughters as his own, gave her 40 years of family happiness before succumbing to a degenerative illness in 2017. It was the same year that Ana received a diagnosis that would once again upend her life: Parkinson’s disease. “I didn’t want to accept the diagnosis… I told myself the doctors were wrong,” she remembers. But reality set in, bringing with it a new battle to fight.

A Personal Battle Against the Disease

The first symptoms appeared slowly—difficulty writing, a leg that twitched while she cooked. The neurologist’s verdict was clear: Parkinson’s. “I was stunned—I couldn’t believe it. Having just lost my husband and then being diagnosed with this disease, it was a lot to take in,” she explains. This led to a period of depression, a descent into darkness that could have consumed Ana. But her fighting spirit prevailed. “I told myself, you have this disease, it’s up to you to manage it, control it, find a way around it,” she asserts with determination.

Medical treatments, however, provided little relief. “Neurologists prescribe dopamine-based treatments like they do for everyone, but each person reacts differently.” Ana quickly realized that her journey with Parkinson’s would be as unique as her life. Faced with increasing medication doses that only worsened her pain, Ana felt desperate. “My neurologist’s solution was to increase the doses, which only made things worse,” she says. “I thought, if this is what my daily life will be, I might as well end it.”

A Ray of Hope: The Discovery of AtremoPlus

But Ana is not one to give up. She understood that to regain control of her life, she had to go beyond standard treatments. “It’s up to us, the patients, to do our own research,” she asserts. And that’s exactly what she did. In 2019, her research led her to discover AtremoPlus, our natural L-DOPA-based supplement. Curious, she decided to give it a try. “I bought a box to test, but I didn’t know how to take it properly because I was mixing a scoop in water, which wasn’t very pleasant,” she explains. Despite this difficulty, she noticed a slight reduction in pain, particularly in her shoulders, neck, and leg.

However, as is often the case for retirees, financial constraints came into play. “Treating yourself with alternatives to medication has a cost, and when you’re retired, it’s hard to afford these supplements that could save your life, or at least make it more bearable,” Ana explains. Unable to afford it, she decided to stop taking AtremoPlus, despite the initial signs of relief.

Returning to AtremoPlus and Effective Self-Management

Medical treatments provided little comfort. Side effects multiplied, and the pain became unbearable. “I no longer wanted to live or fight,” she says.

In February 2024, Ana decided to give AtremoPlus another chance, this time following the recommended method of intake. “I started taking two scoops in the morning mixed with yogurt, and two scoops in the afternoon with applesauce. I quickly began to feel better. It was even a radical change,” she recounts. Within a few weeks, her pain decreased, and her spirits soared. She regained her appetite, energy, and even the desire to sing and dance.

“Since I started taking AtremoPlus, I sleep very well and wake up at 6 a.m. feeling great. Before, I used to wake up around 11 a.m. because I slept very poorly at night due to the pain, I would wake up with no energy and no motivation. I thought I was going to end up in a nursing home…” Ana recalls. Today, her routine has changed: she takes two scoops in yogurt in the morning at 6 a.m., waits fifteen minutes for it to take effect, then has a good breakfast (fruits, toast). Then, two scoops around 4 p.m. with applesauce. In addition to the morning and afternoon doses, she recently added a third dose at 10 p.m. “I feel an improvement in the quality of my sleep and my overall condition. For now, this third dose is just one scoop, but I’m thinking of trying two scoops to see,” she confides.

Ana emphasizes that by listening carefully to her body and managing her health independently, she was able to find a routine that works. “Who knows our body and pain better than we do?” she points out. Thanks to this approach, she was able to adjust her supplement intake to optimize her well-being.

Cognitive and Physical Rehabilitation

“My caregiver noticed the change within a month, she talks about a ‘miracle.’ My general practitioner, in three months, even my neurologist couldn’t believe the change, she reduced the medication but insisted I continue her treatment*. I told her, sure, but my improvement is thanks to AtremoPlus,” Ana says, still surprised by the dramatic improvements in her condition.

“Sometimes I can forget that I have the disease!” she says. “My daily life is so much better, it’s nothing like before. I no longer have pain or daytime drowsiness. I can write again, I can use the hairdryer again,” she rejoices.

Ana also notes a significant improvement in her cognitive abilities. “Before, I was withdrawn, no longer participating in conversations, even though I’m usually very communicative. I didn’t want to do anything, I was in a state of chronic depression,” she describes. Now, she can engage in discussions, share her thoughts, and reconnect with her loved ones in a more meaningful way. “For me, I’ve regained about 80% of a normal life,” Ana testifies.

A Message of Hope

Ana’s journey is a testament to resilience. “You can have Parkinson’s disease and live a relatively normal life,” she asserts. Today, Ana has regained a quality of life she thought she had lost forever. “My children have seen how much my condition has improved thanks to AtremoPlus. They are happy to see me smiling, walking, cooking,” she rejoices. “I could give up everything but not a treatment that helps me live my remaining years better,” she confides.

Ana knows that each journey with Parkinson’s disease is unique, but she hopes her story can inspire others to explore natural alternatives. “Trust natural treatments like AtremoPlus or others, because there are no side effects, so there’s nothing to lose by trying,” she advises.

Her story reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is always a glimmer of hope if we are willing to seek solutions and believe in the resilience of the human spirit.

“Trusting nature, that’s the future!” she concludes with conviction.
